Worst Infestation of Head Lice Ever Recorded!
Head lice are itty bitty bugs on our hair who feed on blood.
A female louse can lay 6-10 eggs per day. The eggs will hatch in about 7 days and it only takes another 7 days for the newly hatched louse to mature and reproduce its own eggs. You get the picture.
Head lice can live up to 30 days. They are usually around on the nape of the neck or behind the ears. Now, how do they spread? Head lice can spread easily – so be careful! They can spread whenever there is direct contact with the head of a person with head lice. Also through sharing pillows, beddings, hair brush, hair ties and the like.
Head lice do not jump or fly and generally cannot survive longer than 24 hours off the host.
